Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Our client is a leading and fast-growing forex trading firm with a strong global presence and a commitment to excellence in financial services. They specialize in delivering secure, innovative, and high-performance FX and CFD trading solutions to clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s financial strategy, performance, and growth. The ideal candidate must possess deep expertise in FX markets, strong financial leadership, and proven experience working with European financial reporting standards and regulations. This is a strategic position responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring full compliance, and supporting the company’s expansion plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage the full spectrum of finance functions: accounting, FP&A, treasury, and risk.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
Ensure compliance with global and regional financial regulations, especially FCA, CySEC, ESMA, and other European frameworks.
Develop and implement financial strategies to improve performance, profitability, and cost efficiency.
Present financial insights, forecasts, and reports to the Board and senior management.
Manage relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and external partners.
Lead M&A due diligence, investment analysis, and capital raise initiatives.
Support the business with risk management and liquidity planning (incl. margin, leverage, and cash-flow focus).
Drive automation and digital transformation within the finance function to enhance reporting and controls.
Guide, mentor, and build a high-performing finance team.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 10 years of senior finance experience, including at least 5 years in a CFO, VP Finance, or Financial Director role.
Strong experience in FX / brokerage / online trading industry is a must.
European experience is mandatory (ideally with exposure to European regulatory bodies and financial practices).
Proven track record in navigating complex regulatory environments within financial markets.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Hands-on expertise in financial modeling, risk, and liquidity management.
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA) or equivalent is a plus.
