JOB TITLE
Compliance Officer - DFSA authorized
Compliance Officer
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of regulatory compliance in accordance with DFSA rules and guidelines. This includes acting as the primary point of contact with the DFSA, implementing effective compliance frameworks, conducting internal monitoring, and advising senior management on compliance-related matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the DFSA-authorized Compliance Officer and, if applicable, Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DFSA regulations and ensure the firm complies with applicable laws and regulatory changes.
Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies, procedures, and controls to ensure ongoing compliance.
Prepare and submit all required regulatory reports and notifications to the DFSA in a timely and accurate manner.
Conduct internal compliance reviews and risk assessments.
Provide training to staff on compliance policies and regulatory developments.
Liaise with regulators, auditors, and other external bodies as required.
Advise the Board and senior management on compliance risks, issues, and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be DFSA-authorized (with proven approval as a Compliance Officer, and ideally also as an MLRO).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a compliance role within the DIFC financial services sector.
Strong understanding of DFSA rulebooks, particularly GEN, AML, COB, and PIB modules.
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ICA, CAMS, CFA) are an advantage.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
